Any Law School experts here?

My sister is considering these for a JD/MBA program:

American U (dc), USD, Temple (penn), U of Houston, Villanova, both Rutgers schools, U of Hawaii, Northeastern (MA), and Penn State.

why doesn't she pick a school based on what she likes and where she wants to live.

You should consider passing the third grade before you consider law school 🙂

Go to the school around the area she wants to work in...e.g. if she wants to work in the Houston area go to Houston...if she wants to work in Hawaii...go to Hawaii. Those degrees are hard to translate elsewhere in the country.

Since these are mainly local schools, tell her to definitely go to Hawaii.

Her quality of life as a lawyer in Hawaii will kick any overworked 110 hr/week NYC corporate lawyer.

It's all about quality of life....not how much you earn in an expensive urban city.

That's not necessarily true...the chance for movement w/in the ranks may be limited. In addition the job market might be saturated in Hawaii. Also they might not have the type of law she's interested in.
