Thank you for any last words!

LOL Indecisive, sheesh almost a MIRROR image of what I just purchased. I bought everything, but I purchased the Antec NeoHE 550:

Forget that Aspire you want to buy, that's crap, here's the Antec on NewEgg:

You can't mess around with a crappy PSU, when trying to run SLI, you're just asking for problems.

ALOHA

P.S. Take a close LOOK at the cables in the picture, they SLEEVE them all for the Antec. 😉

DasFox,

You purchased the same Mobo? Does the PSU work correctly with it and the other components?

Also, thanks to all for the comments!

LOL, funny you should ask, I just revceived the parts 2 days ago and I'm building it for a Science project for my son's school to show what the latest in computing technology is. So we just started today putting it together, having him of course trying to build it with me watching, hehe the tough stuff I didn't let him mess with, afraid he might break something.

So it's only half way done, it won't be till around next week we get it running, but I will say this much, it's a ANTEC and it is an APPROVED SLI PSU, so yes it will work! 😉

Look on SLIZone:

http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone2_build.html

Scroll the window down under the section "CERTIFIED NVIDIA SLI-READY COMPONENTS"

Certified Power Supplies

Antec NeoHE 500W
Antec TPII-550
Antec NeoHE 550
Antec TP2550EPS12V
Antec TrueControl II 550

This makes my 3rd Antec in the past 5 years and they are one of the world leaders for PSUs

P.S. ASPIRE is not a approved SLI PSU

try looking at epox or dfi for mobos also. why do you need an SLI board? you're only buying 1 7800gt. save your money for a better card later unless you're buying both the GTs now. if you are, why not get the gtx instead?

why do you need dual core? will you be OCing?

Hm, alright well if you can recommend a different motherboard that'll be stable with the mentioned components for less then please let me know. Also, I am going dual core because of the programs I use simultaneously on a daily basis: Photoshop CS2, Macromedia Flash MX 2004, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Premiere Pro and various background applications (Virus scanner etc.). So dual core is pretty much the set processor I'll be getting. As for the motherboard though, I will heed your advice but if you could suggest a brand and model, that'd be awesome.

Thanks all.
