<< BoA's japanese? i thought she was korean? >>

She's popular in Japan too. Check out her Japanese songs.

if hikki were to show up, im sure she would have tons of Columbia peeps cheering her on.. ahh hopefully they add more varied artists.. i want some Jhop! but either way this is more than enough

Is there anywhere I can download some legally? I know I can get certain Animes legally because they aren't licensed in the US, so I would assume I can with the music too.

No, it's not legal but people do it anyways because the companies that hold the respective rights don't bother or have better things to do.

I love The Brilliant Green, Shiina Ringo, Thee Michelle Gun Elephant, Hamasaki Ayumi, Hayashibara Megumi, Morning Musume. Japanese bands are just sooo much more FUN than crappy American sellout music.

I used to listen to a lot of Japanese music during my anime phase... then I realized how much more fun it is to listen to lyrics I actually understand 😛

Cocco was and is still my favorite Japanese singer though. Shame she retired last year...

i listen to namie.. thought she doesn't seem as great as she once was.. Her husband , zento is gonna be playing at the festival.. She did recently come out with a like a best of to some degree.. Love enhanced.. came out last monthy.. her new song ft verbal (awsome guy) is on it
and its funny to a post before..

That how I got into the music, which was like 4 years ago.. and I'm still going strong on the music. It has made me want to learn the language, and Ill probably be taking it next year as an elective if I can. But to me it doesnt' matter so mcuh about the lyrics, tis the sound... alot of these bands put out some amazing sounds which i have never heard from any US bands.. One thign I don't liek so much about the japanese music scene is the similarity in producing pop icons.. I mean some people who come out really dont' have that much talent, just looks.. But then again some turn out to be really good.. an example being SPEED.

I wish I could go. Yesterday I heard one of the promotional songs for the upcoming World Cup in Korea and Japan, and I was singing it all day.

😀
