Any issues with an Asus P4PE and a P4 "C" chip?

I was specifically thinking of getting a 3.0GHz CPU, I currently have a 2.4 "B" . I have the latest BIOS revision as well as PC3200 DDR RAM. I want to take advantage of the a hyper-threading CPU (I have Windows XP Pro) as well as the faster FSB.

Well I tried a P4 2.8C in mine with HyperX PC3500. The board didnt like the HyperX at all and would only run it at PC2100 at 133MHZ Buss and only one stick at a time. It as a result would only run my processor at 1.8GHZ. Maybe you have better ram or more compatible ram. Dont know if it will make a difference or not. For a C processor I recommend an 865 or 875 board.

Yep, the P4PE series is not the best board for a C processor.

I ran my 3.0GHz Northwood in my P4PE (with the latest BIOS and 1x512MB PC3200 RAM) for a week, I never had a problem. It only lasted a week because I went out and bought a P4C-800E Deluxe soon after.
