Any Iron Maiden Fans out there?

Just scored a rare Live after Death DVD off Ebay and man does it ROCK !!

I never knew they digitally remastered one of their best albums on DVD 😀

I personally burned out at least 5 tapes of that album when it first was released.

Live After Death is the best live album ever! It was the first Maiden album I ever owned, and it made the album cuts pale in comparison to their live counterparts.

I used to listen to maiden when I was a teenager. Good stuff. Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner is a great song too.

I actually had Live after Death on vinyl. I've been into Maiden since the early '80's. Their first self titled album with Paul Diano on vocals is also very good. "Piece of Mind" is a must have maiden album. Alot of die hards didn't like 'Powerslave" but I think it's a phenomenal album.
Somewhere in time was their "jump the shark" moment, but it still contained many good songs. I don't care for too much maiden after that. "Seventh son" did have some good songs, but they got too 'synthy' in those days.

The World Slavery Tour was the first time I saw Maiden. They are freaking awesome. I've seen them a total of 5 times, 3 with Bruce and 2 with Blaze.

Live after Death is still my favorite live album. That was Maiden at their finest.

They are still pretty damned good. New album due later this year. I'm gonna see them in Houston on August 16th.

Up the irons!

I have seen Maiden 8 times, love them. 😀

"Run to the Hills, Run for your life"

Were they a political/metal band? They sang that Run to the Hills song about the Native Americans and I heard another one recently. Maybe they were the precursor to Rage against the Machine, System of a Down, etc.

Hmm, don't know about their political beliefs, but I do know both Bruce and Steve studied history, and alot of their source material comes from history, also they base many of their songs on movies and literature (The Wicker Man, Phantom of the Opera, Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, etc)

I never got into maiden too much for some reason.. I mean, I like them.. but I've never owned one of their albums, or listened to one all the way through.

I'm more a metallica fan.. lol

If you like Iron Maiden, you should check out Iced Earth.

Listened to them alot when I was a young skater punk. Might have to dig around in some boxes to see if I still have any of their stuff.

I got to see them twice as an opening band(# of the beast tour) & once as a headliner. Just missed the Dianno era though. Woulda like to have seen them with him singing.
On of my alltime favorite metal bands 🙂

Im going to see them this time around.. we might have front row seats (well depends on what angel can get hold of for us).
We are going to 2 shows, SD and LA.

Won't you come into my room, I wanna show you all my wares.
I just want to see your blood, I just want to stand and stare.
See the blood begin to flow as it falls upon the floor.
Iron Maiden can't be fought, Iron Maiden can't be sought.

Oh Well, wherever, wherever you are,
Iron Maiden's gonna get you, no matter how far.
See the blood flow watching it shed up above my head.
Iron Maiden wants you for dead.

Saw them 6 days ago at Stockholm Stadium, they fscking owned every other band I've ever seen, including their own previous concerts.

Maiden > Everything else 🙂

Up the Irons!

Saw Maiden a couple of years ago (2nd time I have seen them) here in Houston. Man, what a concert. Even this late in their careers they put on one of the best, most theatrical stage show of any band.

I have every album they have every recorded on either cassette or CD.

Bruce Dickenson is a god!

Me too!

Been into Maiden for about 5 years now and been in the fan club for 3 years. Seen them 5 times in total. Got my dad interested too. I was supposed to go to a show with a friend, but he couldnt make it, so as it seemed a shame to waste the ticket, my dad stepped in. He really enjoyed it. He even bought Brave New World, Rock in Rio DVD, and my mum is getting him the Visions of the Beasts DVD for his birthday (stole my idea!)
