Any Intel CPUs significantly faster than my 2 year old 3.4GHz Northwood?

Northwoods have 512k cache, but typicaly they don't get much higher than 3.6ghz, since they are pretty much stretched to their limit @3.4. There are exceptions of course. My 3.4 prescott hit 3.91ghz(but that was on water, it was way too hot on air).

The only good upgrade will be a X2 3800+ or faster, even then you may not see too good of a speed boost.
