Any information on how many iPhone units each store will have?

I'd really rather not show up very early, but would like to have one on Friday. I planned on showing up an hour early at most, but if I need to go sooner, I might.

Any thoughts?

There's no info on the allocation, but you can have a decent guess based on the demographic area of the store in question. For example, an AT&T store in a high-end mall that also has an Apple store will most likely have a LOT of iPhones to go around, as opposed to an AT&T store in the middle of nowhere in a bad neighborhood. But, I'm sure you're saying "duh!"

All I know is that there are a lot more AT&T stores than there are Apple stores. You could probably drive around to a FEW AT&T stores and find one with a decently short line. 🙂

Last time, most AT&T stores had between 10-30 phones (some larger market stores much higher) while the Apple Store's had 200-300 each.

That being said, there are quite a bit more AT&T stores around than Apple Stores, so the respective lines should be much shorter as slugg noted. I only had to wait about 2 hours last time.

I'm actually in a pretty cool situation... the theoretical "AT&T store in a high-end mall that also has an Apple store" that I mentioned is actually my local solution. The mall is also surrounded by 3 AT&T stores. The AT&T store inside the mall claimed to have gotten about 100 phones last time simply because the Apple store is in the same mall.

^^ This is going to be hectic at best! LOL
