Any info on new Verizon phones?

I'm looking to get a new phone either before or right after Christmas but can't find much of anything on new phones that are coming out.

I am trying to get a new phone with wifi if possible.

Any help?

Verizon is as anti-wifi as it gets. Your best bet is going to be there crippled version of the HTC Touch Pro is they happen to leave it in.

and more about the Omnia i910: http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=1445
(3.2" 400 x 240 touchscreen, takes microSD, FM stereo radio, GPS, 5MP camera with flash, accelerometer, removeable battery)

Regardless of the rumors over whether the Omnia will have WiFi - there's also the XV6800 - which has a large screen, a slide-out keyboard and WiFi:

The omnia looks very nice but apparently any new Smartphones coming out on or after 11/14 will require a data plan instead of a pay as you go plan. I may end up with the XV6800

The Blackberry Storm is coming out sometime this month. Blackberry's first touch-screen phone. I have it pre-ordered at Best Buy since I probably will end up getting it, although I want to try it for myself before dropping the few hundred it will cost without a 2-year agreement.

I would go for the Storm but I do not want to pay nor have a need for a $30/mo data plan; thus would prefer wifi

Will it REQUIRE a BB data plan?

Yes but anyway there would be no point to get one without a data plan as it does not have wifi

Wait, so to use the phone you need the $30/mo data plan?!

In the case of the Storm (or any other VZW blackberry), CDMA blackberrys ping the tower every 3 seconds, hence the requirement for the data plan. If they did activate BB w/o data plan, you'd get hit for a couple of kilobits data charge every 3 seconds.

As far as having any smartphone and not having a data plan, its like having a car but not wanting to buy gas. The whole point of fully utilizing your smartphone is being able to access info anywhere at anytime.

The Storm looks like the best you're going to get form Verizon in a while. I would NOT recommend forgoing the data plan, it's pretty much essential.

I like the saga, looks nice and easy on your pocket even though I just bought a Sprint Touch Pro today which I plan on converting over to VZW.

The saga is nice. I want it! I just hate the fact that you're required to get the smartphone/pda plan for $29.99/month or unlimited data usage for $40/month. They should also have the option to pay per KB like I did with my current phone which is the previous model of the saga. Granted the saga does have wifi.
