Any info about PCchips motherboards?

I am trying to find out some information about a PCCHIPS motherboard that I found for sale earlier today. I have never heard of them, so any information would be greatly appreciated. In the little bit of research that I could do it looks like they manufacture boards for others. It had a very good price but I am not sure if it is a diamond in the rough or junk. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It had a SIS chipset for the P4. Thanks for your help as I am very new at this.
😕

pcChips is the same as ECS. You can read many threads here about ECS mobos - some like 'em, some hate 'em.

The only difference is packaging and the fact that most pcChips packaged motherboards usually include the AMR modem for free.

their main target is OEM and system intergrator to build low cost system. While it left bad mouth among user in the past, it has been improving. I believe it has different brand name: pcchips and pcware (may be amptron), and it is kind of subdivision of ECS (kinda like Lexus and Toyota). While ECS are #1 (or #2 depends on which month 🙂 dead heat with Asus) (edit for link digitimes) in motherboard output number (i guess pcchips boards go into the count), others mb like shuttle build motherboards in ECS 's factory in China. Also, ECS has close relation with SIS too.

Do not expect good CS or fast BIOS, driver update. However, i think it done the job at low cost.
Because of its OEM target nature, do not expect many fancy add-on or high performance. Let along ask for overclock ability.

Always look for a store that allow u to return and i think it will be ok.

btw, which board, M935DLR ? i believe it is about the same money u can get a ECS without video or even a MSI board.

Intel is cutting price on CPU and chipset, i think the price of P4 mb will go even lower: Text and here

It was a M930MLR. Not sure what the differences are between it and the M935DLR.
BTW thanks for the info so far. I like to have a clue about what I am getting into before I make purchases.
