Any Improvement

I am currently using some cheapo old antec reference compound. I just ordered some AS 5. Will my temps drop at all? Im hoping that since im idling around 49C right now do you think that i could get 44-45C? Or did i just waste my money?

well AS5 is only $6 shipped at SVC so you didn't loose much to buy the best. Just make sure you apply it as per the instructions found here: http://www.arcticsilver.com/ar...ilver_instructions.htm. You should get some improvment dependign on what HSF you are using. Maybe 5C improvment over the crap paste is a good case scenario. It really depends on your specific setup.

Dropped 10C from original heat sink.
But result is from new heatsink and AS5.
Currently using Artic Cooling 2l and as5 and they have been working great together.

I say worth a try.

Yeah thats where i ordered from. Well right now il running a Thermalright SLK-947U with a Panaflo 12M running full speed on it. My processor is an AXP (Desktop) 2500+ running ar 2000mhz. I have 4 case fans filled with Panaflo 12l's (CHieftec Dragon Case).
