WEstern Digital 40Gb Caviar HD (Primary MASTER)
Maxtor 80gb Calypso HD (primary Slave)
Pioneer DVR-1008 Dvd Burner (Secondary MASTER)
Hey guys, I thought I d just post my system specs first off. But heres my problem, I got a new case last week and I transfered my system to it. Upon booting up, My system was only recognizing my primary master harddrive and nothing else.
1. So I reflashed the BIOS to the newest version according to the Asus site. No results.
2. Changed all IDE cables to new ones, no results.
3. Hooked up the Maxtor hardrive (primary slave) as the master one, nothing is recognized.
4. Installed the IDE controller drivers from the asus site. BIOS now recognizes the Primary slave Harddrive, but windows wont recognize it.
5. Hooked up the DVD drive (Secondary master) to the Primary IDE channel and it is recognized. So i further went on to put the harddrives in the secondary IDE channel to rule it out, and nothign is recognized.
6. Here on Anandtech forums and out of Ideas! So what do you guys suggest I do.
