Any ideas on when DDR ram/mobos will be released?

I'm getting very tired of my P2-450 system. I want to wait for PC2100(266Mhz) ram and motherboards based on the AMD or Via DDR chipsets. Does anyone have a clue as to when the new DDR compatible ram, motherboards, and cpu's are going to come out? I'm guessing that the motherboard and ram makers are just waiting for AMD to get on the ball, and release the new processors.
 
Expect a well established DDR platform and market well into spring or summer of 2001.

It sucks I know but I am still using my p2 400 and hanging in there. Plus, the price would be expensive when it first comes out. Give it time for the dust to settle after the chopper has landed to get a good look at the landscape.
 
Good question. I was going to try to get my hands on one of these DDR systems myself, but....
I think you should wait until at least Feb. or March, before you can get your hands on one of these systems. I bet it will be longer until you can get a truly solid 266MHz model.
