hi.

Here is my situation. i have two computers, my laptop with me at my house and my main computer at my girlfriends house. I use both about 50:50. My biggest problem is starting a document at my place and then wanting to finish it a her place. i don't want to bring my lap top over cause i hate unhooking it every morning.

Right now i have a flash usb drive that i use to transfer files but it is till annoying. I don t know what version of the file is the new one. I don't like emailing it eiter as that is just a pain. Is there any way that i could automoate it so when i put the flash drive in my computer, it would automatically download that directory?

Better yet, since we both have internet. is there any way i could set up a folder that could be accessed on both computers via the internet? that would be awsome.

Here's how I do it. I keep all my files, email, etc., on an external Firewire drive. It is shirt pocket size (2.5" drive in FireXpress case) and simply goes with me when I travel. It connects to my laptop. When I come home, it goes back to my desktop. I have a duplicate one which I clone about every ten days or so. It's a simple, but effective system requiring no synching software.

Newegg's price is good:
