Any idea what the next iPhone will be like?

The current $300 4GB iPhone has me tempted, but I wanted to know if you guys have any idea on what kind of improvements we can expect in the new ones coming out next month.

Removeable battery? Sending the phone in to change the battery is a bit foolish and they stick you with the shipping costs which to me seems ridiculous, main reason i'll wait for iphone 2.0 innovation is great but maybe, they'll get some people with common sense on the design team next time around.

one would hope hard-drives are a thing of the past and with solid state memory prices low they can simply up the memory to 16-32GB.

anyway, considering they just announced brand new changes two days ago, how long ETA until revised iPhone do you think?

And will a 32GB iPod Touch be right behind it?

I would expect 3G, 16gb, and a host of new software features (Flash, WMP, A2DP, etc.). Battery life is already pretty good imo.

Standard upgrades will be double the space, battery feature, maybe a different design.

More notable features are 3G, faster ARM CPU, Flash and Java.

Yes, WMP. The "best mobile Internet browser in the world" can't even play CNN News videos. They have to support standards other than their own or even universal standards if they truly want to compete.

the cpu in the iphone is already pretty much top of the line avalible in a pda/phone. faster clock speeds just mean it eats more battery. I figure they may add one of the nvidia or ATI mobile chips to take some load off the cpu.

faster/better arm CPU... nvidia or ati chip is still related

The next iPhone will be the ultimate achievement of self absorption. It will cost $599.99 and basically be a mirror the user can talk to him/herself in. The mirror will be slightly convex to make the user look skinnier.
