I work for the NHL as an off-ice official here in Los Angeles and after witnessing the King's offseason moves (or lack thereof) I can say I doubt the Kings will make it too far into the playoffs.

Argh! Two more months till hockey season starts again. I think my Wings have a legit shop at the Cup again next year with Cujo in goal. The biggest challenge will be getting used to the new coach.

I didn't rip them for signing him... I ripped them for spending $9 mil/yr on him! $9 mil players are guys who can turn a team around... Put it on his back and carry them through a 7-game series. Neither one of those descriptions fit for Bobby Holik.

Don't get me wrong... He's a hell of a player. But I can probably name well over 20 players who I'd rather have, that make less than $9 mil/yr.

very interesting that Fleury left chicago without a conctract their, if Smith (chi's gm) dosent get Fluery signed to get Amonte replaced (Berezin just dosent cut it) or do a good trade, and Daze dosent play as well as last year, i expect for it to be a long season there in chi-town. It looks like Berad is going to Bruins, i think he is a decent defensman maybe a 4th defensman at best on a given team, though sadly i doubt he will ever be as good as he was before his Eye injury.
