Browsing this section brought back memories

Over clocking P 33s, 66s, 100, 133s , K5s, Cyrix .. then getting K6 + to run on mobos with modded bios

VA-503+ and PA-2013, Tyan S1590 and S1598!

You know I'm still not quite sure if those days were just more fun and interesting or I was just younger and more engaged in things. Maybe some of each.

Another memory... Socket A and ECS mobos.... lots of good prices an modded bios... would last 6 or so months an PS2 ports would go out were a lot of complaints .... I had 3 or 4 fail in the same time period

Still have 2 K6 PCs... 1 has a SIS chip set an a K6 II +, no AGP slot, Rage onboard ..

Been lookin for a Super 7 mobo with an AGP slot to put my Viper 2000 in for the extra visuals in Unreal Tournament

I still have a working Abit Socket A mobo. I could do a retrobox anytime. Break out the Thunderbird!

I still remember swapping eeprom chips on server motherboards to swap over the system id so that software licences that were locked to that id would continue to run after a board upgrade. Probably the last time I did that was 10-15 years ago.
