My question is...are any guys ever scared of entering a serious long term relationship with a girl? Is it normal to feel that way when you really do want it to work out.

Edit: Misread the question...

just because you want it to work out doesn't mean you are ready for the long haul. It means you are ready to work it out in the here and now. Fix it up and cruise. If she wants more and you aren't ready...THAT my friend is a great question:confused:

Fear of the unknown maybe? I had jitters when I married my wife, but they quickly went away. I knew the whole time I was making the right choice, just that it was a big choice and normal to be jumpy about it.

If this is about a specific girl, would you mind telling us how old you are, how old is she, how many serious relationships have you been in, does she drive a Nissan?

Well before I started dating my current g/f the longest I had been with a girl is a month. Basically don't look to far into the future (that's what girls do) just enjoy the time you have with the person. That is what I try to do and I have been with my g/f for almost 4 years.

long term = rest of our life

the fear is that we won't feel the same way in future

this is just a general question...i don't want to get into the details..cause well i'm weary of spreading my personal life on the 'net....i wasn't even sure if i wanted to post this up..but i did anyway...you guys/gals can probably notice from my posts that i rarely talk about *me*..most of the stuff relates to cars or random stuff

i just wanted to know if its normal to feel apprehensive as you embark on something of this magnitude?

I agree with azazyel's sound advice, "Basically don't look to far into the future (that's what girls do) just enjoy the time you have with the person."

Yes but I don't think apprehensive is the right word, I can't think of the word, it's on the tip of my tongue though.

The more relationships you have, the easier it gets and the less scared you become. You still may get your heart broken, but you can't fail if you don't try. Good luck. :)

I think the word you're looking for is 'trapped'. Its a natural instinct, you will eventually overcome it.

Maybe. :)
