Any gun gurus around?

I just bought a bersa thunder .380 and have been calling left and right to find ammo, the cheapest I found was the PMC "starfire", or sports authority has a box of winchester (don't know which type.). Should I be concerned about jamming with either of these?

Very nice pistol, I have the Thunder .45 UC and haven't found any ammo that will jam in it, and I've been picking up whatever is cheapest at the time. Most recently bought 300 rounds of reloads and put 100 through it already without a hitch.

fmj jams the least , hp ammo can cause feed problems with some clips, pistols.Generally a round nose solid bullet will feed better .

$25/box .45 ACP is a good deal now-a-days.
Ammo has skyrocketed in the last 4 years.

The best I've been able to do is $41 for 100 rounds of WWB from Cabelas. Not terrible compared to what it's been over the past year or so.

ammo prices lately have really got me thinking about reloading.

i'm sitting on 100 rounds of .40, 50 rounds of 5.56, and about 400 rounds of 7.62. definitely not enough for the zombie invasion.

They've been coming down a little bit it seems. And 10,000 of each caliber is required for the invasion.

Watch dicks sporting goods and other places. I picked some up when they ran a "buy one box, get second 1/2 price".

my thunder .380 was not picky at all about ammo, I shot many different types of ammo in it. Great gun for a small carry. My only issue was that it chewed up my hand where the slide comes back.

I have way more than enough for the invasion. 😉

FMJ ammunition feeds better than hollow-tip ammunition. But if you're intending to use this .380 for self defense (mistake #1) then using FMJ ammunition in it would be mistake #2.

a .380 makes a great deterrent. not doing so hot on actual stopping power, though. i've heard some stories that makes me wonder if my .40 has enough oomph.

I do reload and the components are much higher priced than a few years ago.Small and large pistol primers are more than double in price, powder is about a half higher, only cheap cast lead bullets are still at a good price.
