I was thinking about setting my wife up with a wireless setup for her laptop, but she still would need to hook up her printer.

I guess I could hook up a wireless usb connection, but that would require more hardware.

this i a great wireless router with both lpt and usb print server support. I have reviewed it for a norwegian webpage and gave it 9/10. D-Link 624 got 7/10, Linksys WRT-54g 8/10 and SMC 2804WBR 7/10.

Asus WL-500g

I've been wondering this same exact question...

*edit*
Are there any besides these two? The Siemens seems to have some issues, and the Asus is pretty pricey.

"The Siemens seems to have some issues"

Really? Do tell. Been running on for well a year and never had a problem with it. I don't think the Speedstream SOHO devices are any more prone to issues than any other cheap off the shelf Router or AP. These are 100 dollars or less devices. I wouldn't judge a piece of hardware off a few forum posts but if you are, then suffice to say I fully endorse and recommend the 2624, either as a router or 11 Mb AP.

I have tried a few router/print server combos, and the print server part is not exactly up to par with a dedicated print server. Just my two cents, but I would leave one computer on and connected to the printer before using one of those.
If you can find a jetdirect ex plus or newer for a reasonable amount, I would go that route, especially if the print function needed to be seamless and trouble free.
EDIT: of course, an old jetdirect will not have USB support:eek:

The Siemens 2624 is an excellent product for the price, 5dbi removable Antenna, printer server, and a very flexible NAT-Firewall.

The only small annoyance is concerning MAC filtering you have to use IPs.

Recently it seems that a lot of posts going over the board asserting swiping negative statement based on singular units. I guess it is the time of the year when college students buy thier stuff and try to make it working.

LOL!!

Mine is at least semi- empirical data, but worth exactly my asking price:p
