There was a thread about this a while ago but it had a specific business question and I don't think anyone actually gave a good forum as an answer.

I'm just looking for a community that could help me answer business questions here and there. It can be everything from taxes to payroll to marketing theory to how to best set prices.

Not really, but I find fatwallet finance is an interesting resource. Since everything you asked is finance-related.

I'm looking for stuff other than just simple finance.

Business strategy. Marketing. Doing market research. Expansion. Even stuff like consumer psychology (ie. $14.99 is better than setting your prices at $15). How much inventory to carry. How much inventory I can expect to sell.

i think i saw some couple years ago when i googled. i don't think those forums had enough people to get answers back in a timely manner or a breadth of experience to get you the answer you really want... could be different now - might want to give them a shot, just google "business forums" or "small business forums" or the like.

i would second the rec on FatWallet. i also suggest slickdeals.
if your questions are specific to a certain industry/sector/business (e.g. photography, IT, translating, etc.), you might try asking your business-related questions on those boards since some of those forum members are bound to have a business too.

good luck and God bless!

You should turn over your entire inventory every 3 to 4 months.

How much can you *expect* to sell? Zero.
Figuring out how much you *can* sell really depends on your market and many other factors.
A web forum won't be abel to answer these questions for you.

Books are a much better resource than internet forums.
