Any good RPG turn based strategy games for PC?

definitely not a minority. i loved W2 and fallout tactics before it.
seeing as i play almost exclusively turn based games, i also recommend:

X-COM (1,2)
Mordhiem: City of the Damned
The Banner Saga (1,2)
Agarest: Generations of War (grindy JRPG)
Fantasy Wars

This thread is so old I came in, read the op, thought of Age of Wonders III, then saw someone recommend AoW II, and then I figured out it was a necro

yes, but the topic is still relevant, there are new game recommendations. for instance, on my watch list there are:

TASTEE - Lethal Tactics
Battle Chasers - Nightwar
EMPYRE - Lords of the Sea Gates
Filthy Lucre
Hard West

they sound promising, i'll get to them eventually, when the price is right.

I guess I'll come out and say it more clearly, Age of Wonders 3 fits the "final fantasy tactics" thing pretty well
