Any good roms for Galaxy S4?

Hey All,

I've had my Galaxy S4 for a few years now.

I want to explore rooting it and putting a more minimalistic rom on it.. But I don't want to lose any functionality (especially with camera).

Any recommendations? I'm going to do my own research but I figured I'd ask if anybody here had anything to say.

I had great luck rooting my HTC EVO several years ago.

What version? The international one?

A lot of the carrier ones (AT&T, Verizon) are locked down to prevent roming.

I liked that ROM when I had a S4.

Will I lose any functionality? I know when the S4 first came out, none of the roms supported some of the advanced features of the camera.

Not that I can tell. That is a ROM based on the Samsung ROM, so you should be fine.

Early S4 ROMs didn't work because they were compiled from scratch, so they lacked the full drivers for the camera.

I don't 100% know though as I lack a S4 at this time.

The GPe (Google Play edition) ROM probably is both sufficiently minimal and supports the advanced camera features.
