any good options for $150 on a case + Power supply?

i need help with deciding on a decent case and power supply... im trying to budget myself 150 dollars, i'll go 200 but like i said i'd liek to stay around there. plz give me soem options

My next case will be the antec slk3700amb . 120mm fans and a fairly solid power supply in the case, for $89 shipped from newegg.

For a PSU I recomend an Antec Truepower. The wattage depends on what you will be running in it. The Truepower 430 is good for the price. As for a case, I would stick with Antec, Lian-Li or Coolermaster. If you prefer a bare aluminum low go with Lian-Li or Cooler Master. Antec for painted cases. I personally have the Antec Plusview 1000 and am very satisfied with it. The Antec 3700 Chef Joe mentioned is a pretty nice case as well.

Don't forget about good quality fans, and possibly even a fan bus to regulate noise/speed. Panaflos are great.

I like the D8000 case here. It's an oem of the antec slk-3700. Their quiet modded version is nice.
For a psu I like the new Fortron 350W with a 120mm fan.

The 3700 antec wouldn't be a bad choice either - it's the same case - except for what has been described as a "baby-sh!t-brown" paint job and the door over the CD/DVD drive bays. Or have they started painting them silver now?

They've never been "baby-sh!t brown". They've always been a dark-gray metallic color. The pics on Newegg's site are fairly close except the actual color is a little more metallic than how it looks in their photos. There is certainly not even a hint of brown in the color of the SLK3700.

I could have sworn that I read somewhere that they tried to make them more of a copper color - and that it didn't quite come out right. But you're right - I've seen some pictures, and they are silver.

I knew I'd read it somewhere. Note to self: Don't beleive everything you read 😀. Look for pics first.
