Any good maps online?

Not talking about the expedia type but something that I can just zoom in and see certain areas. I want to see all the roads etc. like on a typical state map you get at a gas station or welcome center.
Does this exist or do I just need to go get an atlas?

Map point and google maps seem good for a detailed view of a town/place but it doesn't show the detail of an entire state that I was hoping. I guess a old fashion road map will do.

And ameesh I would have thought better of someone who has been here as long but your thread count shows you just post crap. I hope you get cancer!

Some states have an online travel center website or department of transporation site that will have the type of map you get from the welcome center online. So you may want to check that out.

edit: I just did a quick search and found one for Virginia (as an example). link

My internet connection is too slow to actually view the files to see if they're at the level of what you're looking for. Here are some more examples:
