Right now I'm jocking Binary Star, Styles of Beyond, Del, and The Last Emperor. I have to say that Deltron 3030 drops some of the most mindblowing beats I've heard this year, I would rate it as one of the top 3-5 albums of the year. The Last Emperor had a bootleg CD circling but it will never be released due to f'ing label rights and BS like that. Last Emp is really the people's MC, he is modest, down to earth, and extremely intellectual. Binary Star rereleased their rare as hell LP Waterworld and dubbed it Masters of the Universe. It has some introspective tracks, banging posse cuts, and allaround superb lyrics and beats. Definately cop this one. Styles of Beyond are fierce lyricists from Cali I believe. They have a white dude Ryu and a black dude Tak (I think), Ryu has a great flow for a white guy and Tak is similar to Rakim.

And oh yeah, big middle finger to anyone who is so ignorant to assume hiphop is the inane, depraved garbage polluting the radio and television.

I motion to keep this thread alive.

Yeah, that one.

Personally I think that the J-Live album that has the same problems as the Last Emperor album is much better. But you can't sneeze at Last E, Zach De La Rocha, and KRS-1 on the Lyricist's Lounge 1 album. That track is a banger.

I'd suggest ANY of 2Pacs music especially stuff from just before his Death Row era to his death.(from Me Against The World On). Also the Outlawz new album (Ride With Us Or Collide With Us) is really tight. And Fredro Starr's new album (Firestarr) is good too. And the new Yukmouth album. Also, some tracks off Too Gangsta From Radio are good, definatly check all of this out!

<< "good Hip Hop songs" is an Oxymoron >>

Your originality astounds me! even after hearing that two million times on this board, it still doesn't get old. Keep up the good work - your input is appreciated.

Beast, musical choice is a matter of preference.
I prefer to listen to Hip-Hop (albeit mainstream), hence I belong in this thread.

Let's take this into perspective.

You may think Ford kicks @55, and its the best thing after sliced bread.
That's cool.
But if I start a thread about Chevy's, and you says Ford ownz, I'm gonna get annoyed.

Hence, consider this a warning, Beast, and others.
Didn't the Mods say something about useless posts as well?
