Pixel 9 is $479 including the year of service now (been that way since Black Friday). Bought one for my sister. The Pixel 9 Pro also came back in stock (haven't checked if it sold out again or not).
Yeah, AT&T and Verizon moved to their monthly credits being over 3 years. T-Mobile is still at 2, but I doubt that holds as they basically fall in line with the other 2.
I was debating going back to Android, even bought an Xperia 1 V as it had what I missed from my V60 (headphone jack, uSD card, manual camera features). But the headphone jack quality isn't as good as LG's V series, and I didn't enjoy their camera apps - that's right, plural as there's 3 or 4, for the auto type modes and then pro/manual stuff. Plus iPhone has a surprising amount of flexibility/manual tweaking that gives me most if not all of the control the LG camera app used to. I'll miss the SD card, but I'm realizing that the use that I had for a lot of storage on my V60 I can adjust other things to get that other ways. I can handle having my music be at high bitrate modern lossy, and the limited storage will make me have to archive/process/discard photos and videos more actively (had a bunch on prior phones that I didn't need to keep or that I needed to backup - lost a bunch because I didn't do that before I lost my original V60 with the memory card). I have other options that would make much more sense to store stuff on, as well as will be getting an external SSD for storing things like pics/music/video rips/etc for backup and being able to use it on different devices. I also have some portable 4K displays/projector that have USB-C input, and the Sony just mirrors the phone display, which when coupled with the weird aspect ratio (which I like as far as normal phone use/handling, really liked the narrower phone), led to black bars horizontal and vertical at some weird resolution that didn't look right, whereas the USB-C iPhone Pro puts out a 4K HDR signal with no problem. I ended up watching multiple movies when I was testing as the quality was so good that I just kept watching.
