Looking for a good electric leaf blower, problem is most of them get good reviews with no people having experienced other brands. Consumer reports is entirely useless and I I'm interested in an electric leaf blower that also does mulching.
I've found this one:http://www.amazon.com/Ryobi-RE...ator-Vac/dp/B00004R9PC but it's discontinued probably because it's old.
This:http://www.amazon.com/Troy-Bil...id=1255306488&sr=1-582 is suppose to be what I believe is a replacement (even though they're different brands) but the problem is when it works it works great but it seems to have a really high failure rate.
Edit: Found a good leaf blower idea from slickdeals
"2nd best use for an electric leaf blower:
Buy a couple of long pieces of pvc pipe that are slightly larger inside diameter than the end of the leaf blower. Get a couple of male and female screw couplings, a 'u' like you'd use in a p-trap. Glue the m/f ends on so you can screw the pieces of pipe together and screw the 'u' on the end.
Stick the blower in one end of the pipe and wrap it with a couple of pieces of duct tape, screw the 'u' on the other end and enjoy blowing the leaves out of your gutters while standing on the ground. I have 3 long pieces of pvc and can blow out the 1st, 2nd and 3rd story gutters without breaking out the ladder.
3rd best use, with the same gear: wasp mulcher. Attach the leaf sucker attachment to the bottom of the blower and duct tape your pvc pipe lengths to it. Standing from 20-30' away, whack the wasp nest or the side of your house where their entry hole is. The wasps will then dutifully attack the end of the pvc pipe, get sucked down into and through the blower and turned into wasp mulch. Dang things kept building nests in my attic in my old house, and I wiped them out using this method with no chemicals and no danger of getting stung. "
