It pisses me off that they don't have a Gran turismo equivalent for the pc and was wondering if they had one that was *remotely* similar.

There are many more realistic racing simulations than GT4 for PC. GTR is comming next month from SimBim. It will be the most realistic racing simulation EVER MADE. GT4 won't hold a candle next to it in terms of realism. Richard Burns Rally is the most realistic rally simulation ever made. Again GT4 won't come anywhere near its realism.
You won't get all the cars that come with GT4, and all of the car parts to upgrade your car. But that's not important to me.

GTR deals with dedicated racecars. I don't think the sim-type racing games appeal much to most arcade racers and as good as the F1 Challenge engine is, i think their wet weather modeling sucks. :p

Personally, I think GPL is still the best racing sim there is.

Might find it in your local $1 bargain bin of used PC games, but I still enjoy..........

NeedforSpeed Porsche Unleashed

Viper Racing - picket it back out of my dusty PC desk after a 2yr hiatus and loving it once again!

Agreed on GTR (demo was amazing!) and Richard Burns Rally. First time I played RBR (after years of Colin McRae), slammed the brakes going into a fast turn on gravel and slid all the way through the turn, my first thought was "Toto, we ain't in Kansas anymore."

CMR4 is an arcade game compared to the realism of Richard Burns Rally. Seriously.

what controls are offered for these games?

Can you get a steering wheel, clutch, brake, and shifter?

I can's see it being realistic if you're doing all the driving

on a game controler.

I am a noob when it comes to racing games!

1. I have all the NFS series and I try my best with those.
2. I have colin mcrae rally 4 and I love it, though I'm not sure to how accurate the physics and everything is
3. colin mcrae rally 4 is the only rally game I need besided GT3
4. Looking for a GT3/4 equivalent because I love racing everyday cars to the not so everyday (wide selection).
