I DON'T CURRENTLY HAVE A CONTRACT OR USE A CELL PHONE. Anyone know of any good deals going on now? I don't need many minutes, like 250 a month is fine as long as I can get a bunch of nights and weekend minutes. Also, nationwide long distance would be real nice too (Even if its just from my home calling area. And oh yeah, I would like to only pay about $30. Thanks in advance.

Have you checked the hotdeal threads? Search for sprint or verizon. Well, for 30 bucks at sprint you can get 350 - 400 minutes (depends on which csr u talk to) and 2800 nights and weekend minutes for 29.99. National long distance is also included.
