Any games out there still made for PC & mouse?

It's been years since I purchased a game for my PC. I will only use a mouse as that is how I learned to play 40 years ago.

Ooops.....I just re-read the OP and you wanted only mouse play.......

that would be really tough in TF2.......unless you just wait for the enemy to come to you and you'd be a standing target!!! :D

I've not seen any games that use mouse only.

It seems all mouse games have disappeared for PC. I just could never get use to the hand held devices.

Every MMO and shooter.

Still need to use a keyboard to move.

Defense Grid can be played with a mouse only, though the keyboard is required if you want to use the rewind function after screwing up.

Just get one of those 15 or so button mice and you may be able to do mouse only.

Hmm, 1974. I'd forgotten that the Atari 2600 used a mouse ;)

OP, did you actually mean "mouse + KB" or really only a mouse by itself?

What a mouse looked like 40 years ago... I think the OP might be fudging his dates...

Keyboard for movement is understood.

Too be honest I remember playing games that were on floppies with no color or sound on a PC , 64K of memory with out a hard drive or mouse.

So what is it you want, exactly?

Every PC game sold still supports mouse and keyboard.

Do you want a game that only has, what, four or five actual actionable non-movement events? So that you only use WASD or arrow keys and everything else is literally done by a few mouse buttons?

Or, do you accept using many keys on the keyboard for actions such as toggling different items or switching weapons or interacting with the environment?

Many games may support controllers, but every single game on released on the PC supports mouse and keyboard.
Some may be bad ports that don't translate well to KB&M, but the support exists. Likewise, quite a few PC games support controllers, though said experience may be less than optimal.

This is what I have in mind.

You are basically looking for "indie games", 2D side-scrollers, and the like?

Plenty exist, but very very few are marketed or even published by the major publishers like EA, Activision, etc.

If you browse the Steam store (steampowered.com, you can also download the steam app there), you should be able to find most of these games.

I'd like to be of more help, as plenty likely exist that are not distributed on the Steam platform (if you are anti-DRM, Steam won't be of value to you).

gog.com is usually DRM-free, I think. I'm not sure what their indie market is like, I'm sure it is quite sufficient. And there should be plenty available direct from developers, but I don't even know where to begin. I don't really pay much attention to that game market these days. Once in a while one catches my eye, but I rarely make many indie or 2D purchases.

Almost all PC games can be played without a game controller. A few like the Batman series might be harder with KB + mouse.

If you need more help with this, try choosing some games you might like, then asking us what the KB + mouse control is like.

OP is serious?

Every shooter, almost every RPG, every MMO, every RTS, every TBS, every 4X . . . outside of racing games, flight sims, and fighting games, every game is far superior with a KB+M.
