They have finally upgraded their computer and are wanting to keep using their 3-1/2 floppy version of MSoft Publisher but their new machine only takes CDs... Even if they get the program burned to a CD, it seems like it wouldn't install correctly.

So...

Are there any alternatives here?

1) Does anyone know a good place to get a newer version of MSoft Publisher?

2) How about another Freeware program that has similar capabilities? They are part of a club and are responsible for a monthly "newsletter"...

OpenOffice doesnt quite have the same thing as publisher, I.E. a fram based publishing program. It has the WRITE program, which is a page based program similar to MS Word.

However, they could probably do 99% of what the old version of MS Publisher does using the WRITE program in OpenOffice. If they want free, then OOffice is probably the only choice, unless the go Linux and get Koffice which does have a true frame based publishing program.
