If you hire a freelancer to build something for you and you provide the screenshots that you mocked up, is it okay to request some change as the pages get developed? For example, let's say you want to change the follow us on Twitter social media logo/plugin to Share on Facebook instead. Are these type of requests reasonable? I've had some bad experiences with freelancers and I want to be aware of what the boundaries are.

These are questions you should ask prospective web designers/coders before you hire them.

Are revisions allowed? How many?

Most importantly do not pay the full amount upfront.

As a web developer, pretty much all GET and POST requests should be reasonable.

Sorry for the lame pun!

You should have both of those on your site actually. A big thing right now is building a big twitter follow list either manually or through automation. Eventually you have a huge list that you huge list that you can either sell or you can tweet every so often with affiliate/cpa links.

The reason you have the share on twitter link is to get retweets or banklinks from people reposting. They're called web 2.0 links. The idea is to get direct web 2.0 links to your m oney site if you're doing whitehat or you get a network of sites with web 2.0 links that point to those so your money site doesn't get dinged by google. My explanation might be a litte off but you should get the idea. Ask for both plugins.

minor modifications to a design document should be ok as long as there is no scope creep.
