I would call the office back and explain to her that you have proof he lied to her and show her a copy of the WU reciept showing he sent you $200 of the $250 he owes you.

Good call. Hope you get the rest of it back.

EDIT FOR UPDATE:

UPDATE 1/11/05
I got in contact with the Fountain Valley PD's Detective for Internet Fraud. She called the guy and basically he lied again to her about shipping the rims, but said he'll contact me about it. When I got in contact with him, he wanted the police off his case so I sent him to western union and he sent me 200(out of 250). I finally got the majority of my money back. Hopefully he'll keep his word and return the remaining 50 soon.

+1 for justice(and threats of civil lawsuits) 😛

Thumbs up; you did a good job! But be very mindful in the future.... You're pretty lucky that this guy even cared to give you his true name, phone number or address. Normally, scammers don't give their valid information. This person was willing to engage.... Be careful next time.

P.S. Oh, don't hold your breath as far as the $50 is concerned. He may or he may not give it back.

oh, he'll be hearing from the PD or the CA court system if I don't get my $50 😉 I got all his real info now, if I wanted to I can call up his parents and make it a much worse issue for him
