any fifa players?

i got fifa 08 and i never remember fifa being so hard. i cant figure out to shoot the ball.

i know how but there is no accuracy to my shots. if i tab b the shot it super weak but if i hold it down for power it just goes to high.

any tips. i can sometime do crosses for headers but no so much.

this is prolly my first fifa game sine like 04 or something..
 
I've got UEFA '08, which is similar, I believe. FIFA is getting much more realistic than earlier versions. Crosses into the box need to be timed and you need to get in the correct position. You can send driven, early crosses into the box by holding the left bumper and hitting X, if I remember correctly. This allows your guys to attack with their feet, which is usually more successful.

Shooting is definitely not something I've even come close to perfecting. I usually just tap B when inside the box; anything more and it's gone. I haven't played online or anything, so I haven't seen the good players, but I'm sure they're out there.
 
i'd ditch 08 and get fifa 09, its much much better

ive always been a die hard pro evo fan but fifa 09 is incredible

i picked up fifa 08 for like $12 new on clearence. i always rmembered liking soccer games. but now its really tricky. i dont love them enough to buy a new version.

ill just try and figure this out.
