I think I will.
It usually takes me a while to get to a band's older works since I listen to a very, very wide range of music and have a few albums I'm listening to at a time.

If you want a copy of anything killers....PM me :)

Life is unfair that shitty bands like the Killers and Linkin Park get all of the album sales while far superior bands barely break gold.

Sales #s don't define greatness.

If that was the case Mozart and Beethoven would've had records no one can ever beat.

Anyways, go ahead, tell us about the superior bands.

People in the rock world can be very high minded about "superior bands".
There are a lot of technically proficient bands that can perform instrumentally, but are hampered by crappy lead singers and even worse lyrics.
Every time a ATOT user scoffs at liking a popular band, they usually name some more obscure death metal band with admittedly talented musicians, but terrible unintelligible lyrics and a singer who growls, an indie band that has maybe one or two actually good songs, or otherwise they default back to older bands (which is fine, but plenty of us listen to both older and newer stuff). I say just enjoy what you want. I don't like any band because of airplay or recommendations from friends, I usually discover them on my own.

I love Linkin Park and The Killers. Even if they aren't "rock gods", they are overall very good and enjoyable bands. Who cares if they are "great" (in the true and original sense of the word) or not, I enjoy listening to them.

If someone wants to name some classical compositions that are better than modern music, I'll defer to your advice. No one seems to argue that Bach or Mendelssohn is better than X. The "my rock bands are better than your rock bands" thing gets old fast.

Someone here actually admits to liking Linkin Park?

They're one of the worst bands I've ever listened to. I'm not even sure if I've actually gotten through one whole song before just changing the station. Just lots of screaming and stupid-seriousness. They're like the not-so-bright goth person who works at your local gamestop.

As for the Killers, uh, I just watched this video

man, this is a huge bore. Seriously, the rhythmic complexity is on-par with Nickelback.

Please list the bands you listen to.
The deconstruction doesn't help, it's nothing I haven't heard before.

Thanks. Otherwise we can label you as a Nickelback-invoking, my-tastes-are-better-than-yours troll.

Love the killers. Definitely an acquired taste. I didn't like them at all until a few years ago when I basically forced myself to listen to their stuff and really give them a chance.

They are just more mainstream and less offensive to a larger audience and have better marketers. Whether or not a person likes the product more than the next is not an issue because most of America just consumes whatever is put in front of them. And now here you are telling us that the Killers and Linkin Park are automatically better than other bands because they sell more records. Do you always shop like this? Just buy what everyone else is buying?

Do you also think McDonalds makes the best burger? Big box pizza companies have better pizza than the local shop? Frozen pizza is better than most delivery companies but they keep getting richer.

Ditch the herd!
