Any Experience With Thermalright AX7

Hindsight, they say, is 20/20.....I am waiting on a newly ordered Thermalright AX7 heatsink with a Thermaltake Smart Fan w/Speed Control. Does anyone have experience with any of these 2 peices of equipment? I am runing an 1800 XP Athlon on an ASUS A7V333 (stock speed) and the stock heat sink is not cutting it (like I really thought it would!). My case temps are around 30-33C and CPU is sitting at around 62C. I am shooting for decent cooling with low noise...tired of my Delta screamer on my old rig...thanks

ThermalRight AX-7 is said to be The Best Cost/Preformance Heatsink on the market. The Heatsinks that do better then it are like $20-30 more expencive. You should be good to go.

I have the AX7 on a XP2000+ overclocked and my cpu temps are around 40C in the summer. I have a 503 cfm fan on it but it doesn't make that much noise and is cool. It is a great heatsink and I like the 3 prong clip on it also. Oh I had a Alpha 8045 befroe and this cools 1 to 2 C bette than the Alpha.

I have the AX-7 running with my stock speed Athlon XP 1800+, cooled by a Mechatronics 80mm 53 CFM/39 dBa fan, and I haven't broken 95F at full load yet. Pretty slick cooler and fan.

For the record:

I just updated. here's the results:

(an on epox 8k7a+, athlon 1.4tbird, sparkle 300w psu)

old setup: cheapo coolermaster hsf: idle: 50c, full load: 59c

new setup: ax7 (cheapo thermal paste included) + enermax variable set ALL THE WAY DOWN (2100rpm)
+ added an L1A 80mm panaflo fan for exhaust
= about 43c idle, 45c max load (max load only tested playing moh:aa for 10min)

That's a HUGE drop. no more lockups, and plenty quiet. I'm a happy camper.
