So you always buy your PC parts from the lowest bidder on PriceWatch  ?

Excellent service is worth paying for, and as several other people pointed out they are sometimes very competitive. Check the prices on closeouts and they're as good or better than any authorized seller.

They also are fully authorized for mail order sales on everything they sell -- no warranty-free grey market from unauthorized sellers, no iffy warranty from stores only authorized for in-store sales.

Shipping is very low, so you might save $25 on a receiver elsewhere then pay it in extra shipping charges.

Returns if you aren't happy (very important for buying speakers by mail) are free. No 15% restocking, no pushy salesgoon trying to talk you out of it.

If you aren't a starving student, even 20% extra might be worth it for the service and peace of mind.

I'm looking for an mp3/WMA CD deck for my car and have been looking at Crutchfield. Their prices are not really bad at all when you factor in the mounting kit and wire harness. They're about $25 more than their competitors on the decks I'm looking at, but toss in $25 worth of freebies and offer cheap shipping. The price is almost a wash.

I've bought quite a few things from Crutchfield since the Mid 1990's, and I can definitely vouch for them. Customer Service is EASY to get a hold of (omfg they can understand what i'm saying), and I really like how comprehensive (pics, specs, etc) they are in product description.

Yea they are an amazing company. Customer Service wise.

Definetely go for it ..... If you like paying the same price you would pay at a local retail store, which is always A LOT more then you can find elsewhere on the net.

Hell price doesn't matter right? Only customer service

It's popular to bash Crutchfield, if you have all the stuff you need to install they often times are not the best place for things, but with sales they can be way better than some.

I usually don't need tech support and I trust warranties are banking on they never get used...so I pick ebay a lot from grey market sellers with large amounts of positive feedback or the audio forums and their sellers.

Let me know if you have any questions about the company or any products, I work at one of their two retail stores.

About a year ago I ended up getting a JVC DVD player/Amplifier the JVC 5.1 speaker system was thrown in for free. The speakers are not the greatest, but for free you can't beat them. I got a hella deal. Free and very quick shipping shipping as well.
