I'm thinking of doing the top 60 package with 3 rooms (2 being controlled by the dvr). . .

The reason is the price - directtv seems to be 10 bucks more for the same thing. I get all the local channels and the top 60 package and a dvr for like 46 bucks a month with dishnetwork. . .

My dad switched to Dish after having DirectTV. They kept upping the price every year, but customer service actually went down in quality. He's happy. He get exactly the channels he wants and a reasonable price.

Only problems are (1) Wiring in the house (322/625s need 2 lines run from the dish to it and then 1 from it to the other room), Depending on how the house is wired you may have problems doing this as a standard install and (2) you only can do 2 things "live" at the same time, so if you are watching something (live) and recording something else, the second room will have to watch one of those 2 channels. May not matter but it may. Good Luck and if you have ???, LMK,

P.S. It's now a 18 month commitment:D

They have Dish Network in a cabin my family occasionally stays in. I couldn't stand it. The channels sucked. But i guess it could have been the package deal?

No, it's great. As long as you have line of sight to the satellite :| (stuck with cable; parents have dish)
