second link might not be a good buy. First one seems legit and I guess that is what happened. People bought them up to resell at higher price.

I think you got that backwards... Second link looks like an HDMI 2.0 adapter that will do 4K@60Hz (hence the higher price), but the first link looks like an HDMI 1.4 adapter.

Finally... Club3D CAC-1070

Amazon - $28.99+$8.02(S&H)+$2.61(tax) = $39.62
MacMall - $28.99+$1.81)tax) = $30.80.

Can't wait to test this on my XFX 290X and cheap 43" Sceptre 4K UHDTV with HDMI 2.0.

Hi guys,

A little confused if this will work for me. I have a Z270M Mortar and MSI went cheap with hdmi 1.4 but not sure if I have the required 1.2 version on my displayport. How can I check if its 1.2? Also as I have a 7600K cpu would HDCP 2.2 content play through the adapter? I ran the Cyberlink UHD advisor and it said that I passed all tests expect HDCP 2.2 (gpu/display). As I currently do not have or own a 4K HDCP 2.2 panel I am curious what the test results will be with the adapter and a HDCP display?

Thanks

All Z270 boards with a DisplayPort are DP 1.2 (it's actually a function of the CPU, rather than the mobo).

And, yes, you should be able to get HDCP 2.2 out of that system with the appropriate adapter.

I guess its all about using the right adapter. Funny thing is that the guys on another nameless forum told me it wouldn't work because I didn't have a LSPCon chip and that the specs for the motherboard said the displayport can put out max 4096x2304@24Hz, 3840x2160@60Hz resolutions according to the specs. So I'm a little confused. Feel like Butters from Southpark. Lol..

Anyhow my desire is for now use an active dp 1.2 to hdmi 2.0 adapter with a hdcp 2.2 hdmi adapter to use Nvidia super resolution to view my UHD Bluray if possible.
If not then at the very least to watch Netflix 4K but as I understand Nvidia has released drivers that open that door up and wouldn't need an adapter because their hdmi ports are 2.0 anyhow.

Thanks
