Very sorry. I must have hit post by accident.
A couple of weeks ago I started to develop a cold, which is common in college b/c of the living conditions, or so I would assume. However, the cold developed to the point where my nose was constantly running and then would dry up at night when I went to sleep. My throat then became very sore and is now at the point where if I swallow it hurts and if I yawn it feels like my throat is being torn apart. I went to see the University health center and they said that it was allergies. They said that my throat was indeed very red and my lymphnoids were swollen. They gave me something to combat the throat and the congestion. I was just asking for a second opinion. Thank you.
Oh, btw, they tested me for both mono and strep but both came back negative.
