My brother wants to install one of the free McAfee suites onto his laptop. Other than the name, Comcast's McAfee Security Suite and AOL's McAfee Virusscan Plus Special Edition, is there any major differences between the 2?

thanks

I don't want to be one of those guys, that comes in to threadcrap, and not answer the question, but... I would try to dissuade your brother from using those suites, especially on a laptop. They're very bloated, and even good laptops are performance challenged when compared to desktop computers. For a free security setup I'd use:

Antivir antivirus
Windows firewall
SpyBot S&D
Spywareblaster
Windows Defender (if he's in Vista)

That's a pretty lightweight setup, and with common sense should keep him very well protected.

I can't answer the question, but maybe there's a decent writeup of features on AOL and Comcast's page.
