i've tried rotary shavers and didnt think they shave as close as my cheap $5 foil shaver from walmart.

that shaver is single head.

Just wondering if i'll see a closer shave with a two head foil.

or how about those 2 and 3 stage foils?

edit:
The $5 foil shaver from walmart is the Shaveman (not the Pro).

also just picked up a 3stage remington foil shaver (2 heads, plus trimmer that works w/the heads while you shave).

Will update after I test.

Update:
Well, I've had the Remington 3stage foil (MS2-200) for a week. I do not notice a difference between that and the $5 Walmart foil. :(

I have the remington DA 307 that Best Buy is currently selling for $20 and I love it. I tried one of the cheap $10 shavers at Walmart and didn't like it because there were no trimmers.

I have a Braun Activator. Best shaver I've ever tried. The self-cleaning means that everytime you shave it feels like you're using a new foil. Its fuggin' awesome.
