is there any difference between all these besides the speed and voltage? i was just wondering b/c if they are all the same then there is no reason not to run them at 1.6 instead of 1.5.
An increase in heat would be the main difference. I believe the 600, 650 and 700 are rated to run at 1.5v, and the newer 750 and 800 Durons are rated to run at 1.6v. My Duron 600 runs perfect at 750 MHz with 1.6v. If I bump it up to 800 MHz, I have to bump the voltage up to 1.65v, but then I start losing system stability. Anything at or above 1.7v runs too hot with my current HSF (over 50C).
No. There shouldn't be. All Durons come from the same plant using the aluminum connects. They have the same cores and all. The only difference is that some of them are rated at a higher voltage to increase yield.
