Apologies is this is not a post for deals, but rather a request to begin a thread on wireless phones/plans deals starting today Novermber 24 when we are allowed to keep our cell numbers if we switch.

FYI, based on Headline Newz Verison will charge $0.45 per month for LNP, Spring $1.10 and AT&T $1.45 (or $1.50) "until they recoup their costs" for LNP implementation/support.

Thanks in advance.

verizon and tmobile are charging their customers nothing for lnp as of now. the others have all been charging for at least a few months, some (nextel) more.

I called a local cell phone place and they told me there will be a 50 dollar charge to transfer your number to a new carrier.

Ill call a few more places cause I think he is full of sh!t.

edit: Ok I called a few other places and they are telling me that my current provider (cingular) will be the ones charging me to keep my number. They say its 35-50 dollars and Cingular can even charge me 1.50-3.00 per month just so I can keep that number with another carrier.
