What kind of educational backround, before all the actual training (like oracle, etc) do you need to become a DBA? AS? BS? Technical school degree?
Is there a lot of room for career advancement?
In laymans terms, what do you do for a living?
What is your office enviroment like? Are you stuffed in a little cubicle all day?
If you are entry level, how hard was it for you to find a job?
any other information you could offer that I havent asked would be great as well. I'm just looking at new career paths and although I have a basic understanding of what DBAs do, it would be nice to hear from actual DBAs what their job entails on a day to day basis.
Thanks in advance
