like everyone else, i was into their older stuff: aerodynamic, robot rock.. i'm kind of getting into their new song

I listened to the album and it is good! Wasn't real impressed at first but like some music it really grows on you. I'm not a huge Daft Punk fan either.

I really like the 8-bit version of the album, maybe even more so! Mainly the first 3 minutes. LINKY LINK

Sorry, thread revive. I started listening Random Access Memories, and I'm liking it.
A little to on the 70's groove thing, but it's soooo good at it.

I'm not particular fond of the other Daft Punk albums, but Random Access Memories is just honey for the ears.

I find them to be quite overhyped. Don't get me wrong, 'One More Time' is probably the greatest club song ever, and 'Around the World' is above average but they didn't have that many other AMAZING songs. I liked Stardust's 'Music Sounds Better with You', and you can probably link that up under Daft Punk.

Get Lucky is pretty damn cheesy, and won't last past this year.

I guess they deserve their massive bandwagon, 'one more time' and all.

Daft Punk is what originally got me to like any techno. No matter what happens with their career I will always be thankful of that

Record of the Year and Album of the Year! They deserve it, not just because of their last album, but because of their great discography.

meh, I thought their new album was very underwhelming

a couple good songs, some refreshingly different, but also a lot of mediocre if not just sub par stuff.

I can't say I'm disappointed they won because I'd rather they get it than what we typically see

Can ex-fans post here?

Homework > Discovery >>> Human >> whatever this last one is called.

HAA was a massive disappointment. They are free to become 100% easy listening, but it's not the daft punk i used to love and remember.

Don't know their music but they looked like complete tools at the Grammy awards in their space suits.

That's their look. I don't think they've ever showed their real faces.

I didn't like this album at all except for 2 songs, Get Lucky and Giorgio.

Did you miss the whole dang TRON Legacy movie? It's basically a 127 minute Daft Punk music video!

I actually liked the Derezzed trailer more than anything...I wish they had made a whole album based off of that.

Although "Get Lucky" grew on me. I thought it was the dumbest song I'd ever heard until I caught the spirit of it. Great music video too!

I actually liked this Daft Punk album, even if it was a bit different than their previous. It makes for phenomenal background music.

Not that the Grammys matter anyway. They are a complete farce most of the time. Macklemore winning best rap album is beyond ridiculous. And people's fascination with Lorde is beyond ridiculous. She's never seen a diamond? Wow, when I was 16, I hadn't either... She must live such a challenged life in the slums of New Zealand! She must have had it so hard.

Get Lucky - 4 freaking chords. 4. The entire song. Always thought it was catchy but never bothered trying to figure out how to play it. Saw Nile Rodgers playing it and after a quick "wtf, really, that's it?", I grabbed my strat and played the last third of the song with him.

More power to him. Nile is a cool dude. I am just jealous that he can turn something that simple into crazy money.
