how stringent or lax are the staff that people are in their correct seat (or, atleast, their own section)

theoretically - just theoretically now - that my friends are sitting in 1 section and i have tickets for another, would it hypothetically be very easy for me to squeeze in with them? theoretically

CU = University of Colorado?

If you are in Student Seating it is completely open seating. If you have a real ticket, it kind of depends on the game and the capacity, but non-alumni/season tickets tend to be relatively open depending on the person who has the seat assigned.

What game are you going to?

The Colorado vs. Colorado game is coming up before too long I think.

Are you trying to sit in the student section? There are no assigned seats there, it's a free for all.

edit- oh it sounds like you're a Texan, so you won't be sitting in the CU student section. No idea what the rules are like on that side. In the non-student home sections people stick to their seats pretty closely.
