Any Compaq notebook tech's here? I have a question..??

I got a Compaq 1200xl-118 which needs a new keyboard. I have a spare keyboard from a Compaq 1255 which looks identical but has a different part. no.

Can I use it without me breaking the 1200xl-118?? Or what??

ive fixed and upgraded notebooks before. it will probably work.


some keyboards have different numbers if some of the keys are a different shade etc, but it really doesnt matter
