any Comcast users that can comment on newsgroup access?

I am getting Comcast next weekend since I am moving..

Adelphia, my current ISP and swindler, has the worst newsgroup servers I have ever seen, so I use Usenet, which costs additional $$.

The tech guy on the phone for Comcast says they use Giganews for their servers...anyone have any feedback on them?

Have Comcast and Giganews. No problems--seems pretty good actually, but I have to pay for Giganews. Maybe you can get it free.

The comcast I have offers 1GB/mo of GigaNews access. It's very nice but 1GB = 1 day of downloads.

Giganews is not that bad but Easynews is much better.

Ditto. If you plan on using it heavily get easynews.

Damn, is my ISP the only one that has an awesome news server? Though it's limited to 60kB/s, I don't have a limit on how much I can download.
