Any CoD guys here thinking of skipping this year and going with Halo 4 instead?

Since the days of CoD 4: Modern Warfare, I've been a CoD guy. I was playing Halo 3 at the time and was loving it. I heard rumblings online of the new CoD game, I picked it up and never looked back.

I've played everyone since then. A lot. (Not as much as Kabob though!) However this year, I feel different. I'm excited about BLOPS 2, but maybe I'm just tiring of CoD. I also think they may be going a little to modern with everything. I do like that they are adding in leagues and more competitive aspects of the game, but Halo has had this for 4 years now. All the changes I've seen for Halo 4 look to be extensive, rather than just minor tweaks for CoD.

I guess I'm just looking for something new and better. Halo seems to be pushing the envelope those year, whereas CoD is maintaining the status quo, minus a few tweaks.

I actually liked the Multiplayer in BLOPS better than the Modern Warfare games. Even though I'm getting tired of the COD formula I'm actually kind of interested in the near-future setting of BLOPS2.

As for Halo, I can't be bothered to pay for an Xbox live subscription so I wont be playing it, but if you enjoyed past Halo games you pretty much know what to expect here.

Nope. Halo has never been my thing, nothing about Halo 4 looks to change that, I'll probably get around to it eventually .

I'm still as excited as ever for cod.

I have never been a halo fan. I will play the story but can not stand online. I have also been called a CoD fanboy.

I'll be getting both. There are some things about COD that drive me insane, and so it is nice to take a break and play something that I am pretty good at.

I'll probably get both, but will dedicate most of my time to Black Ops 2. It will be a similar situation to last year with Battlefield 3 being released right before MW3.

Getting both at my house. Halo is like the 360 version of counterstrike for me...always someone playing, and always a good time...just not for a long time.

Going with both also.

As much as people love to hate on CoD, it's a fun multiplayer game to play a couple of rounds on.

I'll be getting both but I know that in the end all of my friends will be playing Black Ops 2 and thus most of my time will be spent there.

Sad as I thought Reach was fantastic and they all fled from it when Black Ops 1 dropped 🙁

Both a lowest common denominator crap. Pew pew, don't forget the Axe body spray and Mountain Dew.

BLOPS II looks to finally be fixing some things in the COD franchise (for instance, ghost only works if you are moving). I'm mildly excited to create these 10-point classes, I think I may forgo an attachment on my secondary for additional perks.

But yes, borderlands 2 is still a better choice, not only is it fun but it is funny as hell to listen to the dialogue.

Halo all the way. Never was a COD fan. I played one or two of them, but its just not fun. Too much action, too much shit on the screen at once, its hard to play. Maybe I'm just getting old. Love the HALO franchise though and all its glory.

I doubt I'll pick up either at launch as I have a large back stock of games I need to finish.

I will say that this keeps making me think of the original AvP movie tagline.. "No matter who wins... we lose"

Are you cool as fuck or what?

You're not impressing anyone on this forum, buddy. Stop trying.

Cool? Just saying they keep pumping this crap out because 80% of gamers don't go away from Halo/COD/Madden year after year. Lots of great games go unplayed and devs go out of business. I guess it is a strong demographic, males 12-24.

These games are like safety blankets.

Or you could choose to buy both? The big budget releases, and support the smaller more innovative developers too.
